Getting away from the comparatively light-hearted joy of its critically acclaimed Spider-Man series, developer Insomniac dials up the blood and tears for its heavy take on Wolverine. Brutal battles are punctuated by weepy monologues as Logan reflects on his tortured past. It’s storytelling straight out of Sony’s God of War playbook, almost to the point of self-parody.
